High-level architecture flow
- A buyer subscribes to Starlight Retail Backup Service in AWS Marketplace.
- AWS Marketplace sends the fulfillment token to the Starlight Retail fulfillment endpoint, which validates the request and creates a signed registration session.
- The buyer completes registration and account linking through the Starlight Retail onboarding flow.
- AWS Marketplace subscription, entitlement, and agreement events are processed by the Starlight Retail serverless control plane to keep customer state synchronized.
- After onboarding, administrators configure backup policies, recovery operations, and protected workload settings in the Starlight Retail service.
Core service components
- AWS Marketplace integration: Handles fulfillment, entitlement, and subscription lifecycle events for the product listing.
- Public service entrypoints: Buyers are routed through Starlight Retail registration and onboarding endpoints exposed through the service domain.
